for now at least. i am going back in about a week for another month. i am not in the mood to write a big in
depth story, and i liked adams picture report, so ill just do that. after five weeks, two with my dad, this is what i did.
it started on henry's fork. the ranched sucked, but the chester backwater was nice. gray drake next to my imitation,
a size 10 parachute adams.

along with a couple of the fish that we caught, and some nice sunsets.

Next was the madison at the beartrap canyon. lots of bugs may be an understatement, unfortunately
rising fish was actually an overstatement.

The beaverhead, as usual, pumped out some nice fish. first was on a streamer, second on a rusty spinner.

the big hole won for best colors on a brown trout.

but the ones at rock creek ate salmonfly's.

one of my favorite spots was Georgetown Lake. the damsels were nutty, and the fish were too. the 12-14 inchers at
georgetown lake were the hardest fighting fish i have ever caught.

here is what you saw when you fished for the big ones. and of course a couple in hand.

My favorite spot has to go to the Missouri River, for showing me a great time. there were lots of tricos and caddis,
but the fish liked the caddis, so i do too. caddis were thick in the evening, and any backwater found mats of tricos.

it is obvious that there are big fish, and after a hard day of trying to fool fish, i hooked into my 22 inch brown
on my first cast.

here is about the average size, but mostly rainbows.

the missouri also showed me some nice sunsets.

I will have to go in depth about my strangest incident. while i was walking through a marsh like area next to
the beaverhead, i came to an opening in the cattails, where i ended up spotting about an 18 inch fish.
you can see the shadow of the fish in almost the middle of the picture. the second picture is of the cattail
area to the left of the beaverhead. pretty crazy to find a fish in there.

Also, for the second year in a row, i have seen a huge rock creek brown attack a small cutthroat. last year
my brother hooked the cut, but this was my year. after dragging my six inch cut almost to me, he started to
act a little funny, and produce a pretty big boil. it turned out there was about a 24 inch brown chasing the
poor little cut. after thrashing around, the brown finally grabbed on to the cutt and rested on the bottom.
i only had 5x, so as hard as i could pull, i could not move the brown. he did not seem to care that i was pulling
him, but finally he spit out the cut and i got him in and released him. i went back with a streamer the
next day, but he wasn't interested.
Oh, and i love my trailer. there is no way i could stay for five weeks sleeping on the ground.

It was an awsome trip, but the heat and exhaustion and aching body, even for an 18 year old, took its toll.
i came back, but i will be going back next week, as my brother and dad both have plane reservations.
a full report will most likely come at the end of august when i return.
I will end this with my favorite picture. i posted this in the photography section, but ill post it again.
