Last night around 6:30 I was board and desided to take the 3 wt. I built and try for some bluegill.
The pond is low and ugly. The mud too thick to wade.So how did I do?
I started with size 10 baby gurglers. Caught several of the little guys when a 3 pound bass desided he wanted to play also. The 3 wt. landed him which was a suprise.I desided to go bigger on the bugs.I Went to a ( you will love this David) Baby dalberg diver that I tie on size 12 8089's.
Well,I landed 3 more good bass to 2 pounds before the S.... hit the fan.
A bass that looked well larger than the first one took my hair bug and left the countey.Good by hair bug. 5 minutes later the same thing happened.Good by bug number two.
The moral of the story,3x tipit in a bass pond just won't cut it.
Still a fun evening.
