Mid elevation creeks are in pretty good shape right about now. Headed up last weekend and hit a few spots around 3500 feet. Water was great clarity and although still a bit higher than usual, very very fishable.
Saw a ton of stones coming off and a few PMD's as well. Didn't stay late enough to see if Caddis came off in the evening but it didn't much matter.
Big stone nymphs were a top producer and I had some luck swinging a black bugger through the tailouts as well.
Oh ..... and the dog had a good time learning that trout are tougher to retrieve than a tennis ball....
