July 4th Photo of two of our grand kids from Kodiak Alaska.
We will be going to Kodiak for two weeks at the end of the month. :) :)
Mostly just family stuff and A little f.fishing for Dollyvarden . :) :)

New kids with thier first fish.... Those pic's are always priceless..

This set of photo's have to be my favorite ones so far Rob...

Enjoy Alaska and post any Dolly Vardens with pierced lips..!!

Rob - to answer your previous question. I have floated and I have walked the Y several times within the last 2 weeks... I have had the opportunity also to compare the water above the bridge vs the water below.

Even though there are some great looking runs with the lower flows above the bridge, Bug life is quite sterile, but I did see the normal size 10 to 14 stone fly husks on rocks for this time of year. Have not seen too much to none on mayfly or even caddis hatches.

Below the bridge (floating) bug life seemed sparce as well but there was more activity. How to describe the Yuba you left, one word, WIDE...!!!

Plenty of backcast room now since the plant life was close to being deleted, and more trout lies are being defined with dropping flows...

This is a true swingers river in IMHO. I have good success with zonkers, but terrestrials is the hatch to match right now. If you do come down for a visit, drop me a line and I'll send you a map of my hot spots for you and your sons... All the best - RR
