I think most of the trout streams are finally in shape now.

July will be our top month this summer due to all the runoff earlier.

Lakes are still OK too.

I would get up there before August if possible.

I'm heading to the NF American via Beacroft trail the 6th and 7th. Just got my topo map in the mail, the elevation/contour lines sure are close together.

Post a report when you get back. that's a favorite stream of mine. The walk in is about as pleasang as you can imagine. The walk out, not so much.I'ts very doable(that's not even a word) though. If the runoff has slowed yet you could be in for some great fishing. Not much fishing pressure down there due to the amount of work involved. The old growth trees down at the botttom by the American River Trail are awesome. Bring stimulators, it should be stonefly time.
