Hit the A for about 20 minutes this evening at about 8:45pm. (Damn co-worker screwed me out of most of me fishing time!!). Caught one nice fish about 18" on about my 5th cast or so. I think I then broke my fly off on the next cast as I had to untangle my running line and I had a slight hang up when I went to strip in the line.... but I didn't notice so I spent the rest of the evening just practicing casting I think.... all I know is I reeled up sans fly...doh!!
Oh yeah, I was at my usual spot, Goethe/william b pond, all by myself except for the 8 yahoos fishing from the bridge and there is a nice school out there and flows are perfect for wading out. I was using a chartreuse shad fly with a white marabou tail, red butt...green body (pearl braid), lead eyes, chart. yellow glow in the dark head...
