.......which is a nice flow for wading and floating. I really prefer to wade at below 3,000 but this is pretty good flow. Be careful not to wade out too far.

Fishing should be very good now in the AM and PM for Shad. Use very small shad flies now and fish that last hour right up till dark. Most Shad are from the Nimbus dam downstream to Sunrise Bridge area. Use a short sinktip or type 3 head. Shad should be good through July this summer.

It is Striper time now through September. Some have good luck wading for them in the AM and PM. Floating the river now from very early till around noon is a very special thing we have in Sacramento. You will have a good chance of catching a Striper and you will probably see some swimming as well. Floating our river is a real special thing for us.

Andy Guibord had a client out floating the river earlier this week. He caught a "Grand Slam" which was a sucker, squawfish, 3# Steelhead, Shad and Striper all in one day on a Clouser minnow fished deep.

Andy said a "Super Grand Slam" would be if he had hooked a Salmon too.
