Have to share this e-mail with the world. Funny story. This is my buddy Phil's latest trip to the Pit river, a river that has tried to kill every angler that dares its banks. Dead Horse is a spot we named because we camped there on a logging road and one year someone dumped a dead horse. Kiene knows the access since he hooked a huge fish years ago and jumped in the river to chase it. Back in his figtin' days'.
Here is the e-mail which reminds me of a chapter right out of "Trout Fishing In America".:
Broke my six weight 3" above the cork coming down Dead Horse, held the reel section in my teeth as I payed out line w/ my left hand and held the 6 feet or so that remained of my 6 weight in my right.
Landed 2 dozen.
