Smacked a young buck on the way to Frenchmans Sunday....damaging only my pride and the front of the truck.

HWY 89 from I5 to 4 corners. Wow... lots of deeer there too. Felt like honking the whole way last time I made that drive... hitting deer is not fun. I'm sure you're honda would agree...

There are "deer alert" whistles that you can install on your front bumper. The CHP all use them and they have few incidents with deer. They are cheap and can be purchased at an auto parts store. The way they work is to produce a whistle that the deer hears and stops. I have them and have seen deer come to a dead stop when running down hill towards the raod. They do not work on bears.

some estimates have the deer population in north america now exceeding what it was when the pilgrams landed.
