Bass & panfish - early and late
Trout in lakes - all day long
Stripers in Valley rivers - all day long
Shad in Valley rivers - anytime till the water clears and warms up then early and late will be best.
Spring run Steelhead in many Valley rivers below the first dam.
Resident Rainbow trout in Valley rivers below the first dam.
There are Spring Salmon in the Valley rivers now but they will only be caught accidental because they are not in big numbers.
This is surf perch time on the beaches too.

Many trout streams are having a slow start this year. Later in June and July will be best in most cases.
I have heard some about the Little Truckee, main Truckee, Hat Creek and the Mammoth area streams down south.
Keep your ears open because the minute the runoff is gone many streams will be wild.
