Today, I had a boat by myself. I can actually say that I got tired of catching fish. I must of hooked over 30 dorado, nothing real big except for two. Most fish were in the 5 to 8lb range. Used my power wench to bring them in (tighten down drag). I did have one on for 10 minutes before he threw the fly. He was at least 190' from the boat and jumping all the way. He made one big leap the I saw the fly come out of his mouth. I bill hooked a sail fish, that lasted around a minute. Not much you can do on a 9wt rod.
Caught quite a few pargo for the captain and his family. Checked the beaches and found a few roosters and jacks but they all took off pretty dang fast.
My group next week should have some fun :D
