We are having a tremendous warm water season. Many reservoirs, lakes and ponds have lots of hungry bass and panfish in the shallows waiting for you. The Delta is wild. Fish from early till noon and then take a break. Start up again around 4pm and fish till dark for bass on top or at least shallow.
The Valley rivers have lots of Stripers and Shad. Many will be caught this weekend with the reduced flows. A boat will be a big advantage but wading will work in the right spots. There are Salmon, Halfpounders and resident Rainbows too.
Lakes for trout are starting now too so head for your favorite one soon before in gets to warm on top.
60% of the streams are not good yet, sorry. They will be rocking in June/July this summer. Some are good now.
