Truckee river

Just thought I 'd let you guy's know about the Truckee area. The river is fishable between Squaw to Truckee along 89, got a couple nice browns the other day. It can be a good early season spot before all the campers come out. All the other streams around are pretty blown. The Truckee through town is coming down now a little every day. Martis could be good.

Doesn't the Truckee have a weird opener?? Like, I thought it wasn't open yet, I thought June 1??
Hopfully I am wrong cause that is nice news!

Not the Truckee in Truckee. I think the Upper Truckee in South Lake opens June 1st along with any other Lake Tahoe tributaries. The Truckee is open.

The Upper Truckee above Tahoe and any stream that drains into Lake Tahoe does not open to fishing until July 1st, and closes at he end of Sept.
