All these rods where new and are what sold in the past 12 month cycle.

All these rods have about the same life time warranty too.

9' #5 line in 4 piece is the top selling size fly rod in the USA.

We carry over 300 different fly rods in stock year round.

Echo being number one doesn't surprise me. I bought a 4wt last month (before seeing this post) after casting several more expensive ones and I'm no expert, but I think Echo is a great value. I'm happy w/mine! Ron

My Fiancé has an Echo.... it's a nasty rod.... I can't see how she can't cast with it...LOL it makes my casting look good... that's saying a lot... I only cast with it a few times and it cast very nice and could sling some line.

In all my years, I only recall one "Bad Day Fishing". It started with ripping my waders in the knee on my way to the river and went downhill from there. On the other hand, I've experienced more than one "Bad Day Catching", and it always beat "a Good Day at Work"...

I'm with Wind Knot on this.... 8) 8) The worst day I've had fishing was better than the best day at my former job. (of course, now that I'm able to do volunteer work, I can no longer say that)

I suppose whether the saying has any real meaning is dependent on the job you occupy at the moment.... :) :)
