I remember once landing a small rainbow on one of the forks of the Feather when a large brown shot up and took the rainbow out of my net. It sure startled me. I switched over to a large lefty deceiver in rainbow color but no luck.

I hope the bite scarred , it would have been good for mucho free Beers . I had a 17-18 inch Steelie on 4 lb. fluro a few years ago .... poor fish got picked-off by the biggest Stripe I've ever seen (well over 50 inches) - I would have loved to have been mauled by that piggy .

Few things are as beautiful as nature taking its course , however savage that might seem to the civil .
