We can help you plan a good trip to a good destination and at prime time.
Even the best fisheries are not good all the time. Being there on a trout stream when the water is in perfect shape is so important. Most of our best trout fishing is around 'June' and 'October' if you want to plan a good 3 day or a week lone trip.
We fish lower elevations in Fall, Winter and Spring then work our way up elevation in mid-summer. April/May/June are usually great right down here in the Valley floor. July 4th on we are going to get out of here and get up higher or to the coast for cooler weather till Fall. Then Oct/Nov is really good locally with the cooling of Fall.
Other peak times in Nor Cal are:
Shad=June (best wading)
Stripers=May(American & Sacramento) + November (Delta)
High Country Trout = Aug/Sept
Black Bass/Panfish=May+October
Salmon= Sept/Feather + Oct/American
Steelhead=winter/Jan/Feb
Halfpounders=Sept/Oct + March/April (low water)
Surf Perch=spring/summer
Baja= June - Oct
MX Yucatan = April-August + Nov.
Alaska = June-Sept
BC Lakes = May/June
BC SH = July-Oct (depend on location)
Montana=June-Sept
