I have been outfitting fisherman in Sacramento for over 40 years so I can tell you that all the sudden there will be so many things turning on that we will be in that place soon where we have a half dozen choices of places to fish.
In April, unless we have some weird late storms, all hell will break loose with everything going on the bight at the same time.
Lakes will still have trout on top till it warms up a bit.
Stripers will be coming in to spawn and feed like an alien invasion.
Bass and panfish will be heading into the shallows of many lakes and ponds.
Valley rivers will have caddis and small salmon hatch-lings being eaten by trout and/or spring-run Steelhead.
There are Spring-run King Salmon in many Valley rivers but they are not that easy to catch so they will be incidental surprises.
Get ready.....seriously.
