...........because they will all be heading north up the Sacramento River where they will be spawning this Spring.

They usually end up concentrating somewhere above or below Colusa depending on the water flows.

According to top fly fishing jet boat guide Shane Harding April/May is the prime time up that way.

A percentage of these fish do head up the Lower American River and according to Andy Guibord April/May is prime time here too.

Andy says that they seem to get harder to catch when the American/White Shad get real thick in June. We guess that the Stripers are busy eating the smaller Shad.
