Really? It will be better than the nautilus or snowbee? I see that this reel is heavy enough to balance out a big spey rod, especially for someone on the shorter size who need the rod to balance a inch or so from the cork/handle boundary.

Also, anyone know the startup inertia on this? The snowbee and nautilus have reported startup inertia's of close to 0. I have been told the Ross has a startup intertia that can be as high as %15.

Steve,

I have not received the 'big Hayden' yet and that is the one that I believe we will sell the most for big blue water rods. The H3 is $379 and will work for a #12-17 weight rod with Gelspun backing. It will be the bargain big boy. With a cork drag I think it has as little start up as anyone's reel.

The Nautilus reels are taking over the high end market completely right now. They are $200 less than Abel and Tiber plus the spools come out easily.

A big Nautilus is $595 which is less than a big Abel Super or Tibor but not in the price race with the biggest Hayden @ $379.

I have not heard of a Snow Bee yet?
