With a little break in the weather you have to take whatever you can get and after reading Bill's report about fishing with Dan, the delta seemed the place to be. Lots of good reprots about the upper delta but by now it's blown out too so that means a long ride south.
Got on the water about 10:00, sun shining, and no wind. It's going to be a great day.
Got to our first spot, made two casts and WHAM! Hookup! Got first fish in the boat. Nothing big but great fun. Several more grabs and we're getting some boat traffic and we've got to move.
Every stop throughout the day it was like this, stop, cast, grab, fish. Not a lot of fish in any one place and couldn't mark hardly anything on the graph except at Mildred in 60'-70' at the north entrance.
The wind started to come up out there and it was wide open so we decided to keep pounding the smaller sloughs.
Toward dusk, things really got going and found 14-15 in one school at a quiet intersection of several channels.
Fished until dark, and had a really great day.

Good job Tony! I agree with Katz, hearing your report is inspiring. Always good to be reminded you can't catch any fish in your house.
