Pretty sick tying there , Jeff ...... let me guess - about 1/4 inch long ??

You and SullyTM should get together and breed those things ....

Jeff..Very nice. Especially the Ammonite...a favorite of mine. The abdomen is perfectly wrapped. What did you use? Nymph skin or scud back? Maybe we should cross-bred our AM? :D

Thanks for sharing. Thom

Jeff, those are awesome! Talk about buggy looking. . . . Soon as I saw the body on that first one, I thought, "ewwwww. . . . ." Same for the other two. The last one looks like it's trying to get out of the vise. 8)

Those are beauties Jeff. Are you actually going to tie one of those on your line? Hopefully we'll have a chance sometime soon. 8)

LOL David.

The ammonite is actually pretty big. I think I used a size 12 TMC 205 which is quite large. Maybe close to an inch!! The other two are tied on TMC 206Bl size 16 which I need to get more of. Pretty slick hooks in my opinion. Too bad they don't make the 205's anymore but I think mustad has a comparable hook.

Thom, I used the VN flexi-skin or I think they call it flexi body now. Pretty cool stuff, similar to thin skin but a little thicker and slightly less stretch.

yeah I hear the river is pretty much chocolate milk but I was thinking about heading out as soon as the weather subsides, maybe this weekend but I'm not sure if it'll be worth it. Might just be better to stay home and tie up some flies for stripes so David doesn't keep harassing me about tie them worthless "bugs". LOL

Oh yeah, does anyone want to guess what I used as an ab material on middle and last fly??? Sully you might know already since I posted the same flies on another site we frequent!!
