Dave Lydick, Chief Ranger for Sac. Co. Parks, reported that the snag that caused the drift boat to sink in the Upper Sunrise section of the American River has been cut and floated downstream. County Parks brought in Richards Tree Service to do the work. The tree company had to wait until the river was low enough to do the work safely. With flows down to 5,000 cfs this morning the tree faller was able to get to the base of the tree and cut it off. Thanks to Dave Ford for reporting this to the CFFU list serve.
