With the new set of rains, and the promise of almost no fishing, i have been very bored. So, I
decided to look over all of my old pictures from years past, when i was actually fishing.
I am sure the rest of you are also suffering from too little fishing, so i thought i'd post some
pictures to give you something to do

This fish was caught on the Silver Fork of the American about a mile above the confluence
with Caples Creek. He was feeding on anything on top in about six inches of water. 19 inches is
a huge fish in that water.

This fish was also caught from Silver Fork and an elk hair caddis. He almost took me into
the log jam, but i managed to pull him out. About 16 inches.

This fish was caught on Caples Creek about a mile below Kirkwood Lake. He was in a side
channel to the main creek, where it was about three feet wide.

This is the meadow directly over the hill from Kirkwood Lake. Beautiful water.

This brown was caught in Pyramid Creek below horsetail falls. He was sitting about a foot
off of the shore in about three inches of water. I don't know what he was doing there, but as
soon as the elk hair caddis landed he went straight for it.

This is by far my favorite shot i have ever taken. It was on the Middle Fork of the Yuba River.

This fish was 21 inches and caught on a callibaetis emerger. He was cruising the bank
only about a foot under the surface.

This was from my trip to Montana last summer. It was on Rock Creek during a thunderstorm.
It was raining hard, but a size 10 golden stimulator caught as many fish as you could handle.

This is also from Montana, on Depuy Spring Creek. I tossed out $100 to fish it, but it was worth it.
This was my favorite fish, only about 18 inches, but fat and strong.

During the end of June on the Montana trip, we were fishing the Henry's Fork. Fishing was
forgettable, but this storm was unbelievable. Lightning was going off so often that i
actually got a picture of the bolt of lightning. Another one even made the screen entirely white.
Remember, it was pitch black outside.

Finally, a few good memories from the Yuba.

If anyone wants to post some of their pictures, that would be great. I've gone through mine
so many times the excitement is starting to wear off.

Yes Loren that actually was me. Last summer, 2005, i was in Montana with my brother for three weeks,
and this summer i was there for about two months, mostly alone.

So, how did you do on caples lake this year? I only fished it about three or four times, but i just couldn't
find them like last year. I was up there about a week ago and caught a 20" and found a pod of about four
monstrous rainbows. Unfortunately they did not like me.

i did pretty well, got a few toads in july and august, got my but kicked a few times too. I'd be happy to show u some of the "spots" sometime next summer, ill be up there a ton, sounds like u got a goodie recently though. A week ago, was there a lot of snow on the ground? -Loren

Practically no snow except for the spots that stay shady all day, like near the emigrant creek inlet. There were
actually some lake trout spawning in the inlet creek, about 5 or 6, but they were only about 12-14 inches.

Next year definitely sounds good, we'll have to get in touch. Also, do you know what the current status is on the
fish eye video 3?

I think its gonna be done pretty soon because mikey wants to run it in the upcoming ff shows, its been running late because hes also working on an ultimate adventures video (some sick footy of us in belize). I can't wait for it to come out though, should be pretty cool. Thats kneat bout the lakers, i would have thought it would've been snowy by now, i bet it was pretty cold tho. I wonder where the 15 pound macks are. Well maybe we'll look for em next summer, theyre prolly just sittin under the dock by the launch ramp.
