I started selling Hardy fly reels in 1965 at Arden Sports Unlimited on Arden Way near Watt Avenue. The Hardy Perfect reels were about $37.50 USD in those days. You could buy a Pflueger Medalist 1494 at Payless Drugs for $11.88.

Lots of these Hardy fly reels are arriving this week.

Come in and check them out.

Spey casters, classic Steelhead and classic trout people will like them.

I have a lrh lightweight that I got from my grandfather about 20 years ago, and while it is die cast and does not have much of a drag, those hardy's have that hard to muster and indefinable quality of "soul"
