I work as a Network Administator. I have been having to help a lot of people lately that have been losing hard drives in their computers. If you do not have backups of your photos on your computer, you are at risk of losing them all. There are multiple ways of backing of these moments in time. You can dump your photos to CD's & DVD's (time consuming). My recommendation and easiest method is to have an external Hard Drive, and software that will automaticaly backup your machine. I personaly like the Maxtor One Touch series of External Hard Drives. These drives cost about $150- $250 depending on the size you get.

For Backup Software I like a Freeware program called Cobian Backup. You can tell it to copy your "My Documents" in the middle of the night everynight.

You should always have at least two copies (in two different places) of anything you want to save. One can be on your hard drive, but have another storage of the same info. That way if one method goes bad (hard drive crash, theft, fire, ect) you will not have a total loss.

It would be a shame to lose all of your favorite Fishing Photos. A little time can result in no having to deal with a lot of frustration
