Fished From 0830 to 1130 downstream from Sailor, very slow. Worked both sides of the island with no luck, but managed two good size steelhead in the last 15 minutes on the way out. Despite the flows being up so much wading was possible but difficult. If I go out again in these flows I might consider a life jacket. Mark Pinto was kind enough to pick me up midstream so I didn't have to finish the crossing in the high flow.

Mark is a good guy. You should probably shy away from wading to the islands while these flows are high and fluctuating. A couple of hours out there and an few hundred extra CFS in outflow and you are deep s***. The water guys are good at bumping up the flows at their whim, day or nite without concern for folks who are on the water.

You know it's kinda funny when you're on your way out you're kinda skipping to the flow thinking this ain't so bad, and then you suddenly realize that if you're to follow the same path back you'll be going against the current. It was definitely a leg workout.
