Last fishable day was 14 Dec. Since then the Rogue near Grants Pass has been almost always above 10,000 cfs. with a peak on 30 Dec of 78,200 cfs
Currently flowing above 12,000 cfs with lots of rain falling with a projection to go to 35,000 cfs. Grants Pass has 13.90 inches of rain in Dec. and so far about 9 inches for January. Total annual rainfall average is about 32 inches. Think it will be a minimum of two weeks before there is a chance for fishable conditions(about 4,000 cfs or less). Same conditions apply to the Applegate.

Langenbeck,
We are getting the same thing here in Washington.
How about these rain totals for the month of January - Over 40" at Amanda Park near Lake Quinault.
This will be the fourth weekend trip I've canceled due to blown out rivers.

I'm so sorry to hear about the flows up there. I just loved logging on every day and finding another great steelhead picture from you posted on the site.

Hope it drops qickly for you.

Gordon,
Been a might humid in the coastal hills of Oregon for the last month and a half. I should look up the estimates but sometimes that kind of truth just drives you nuts. I'm lucky enough to live at the headwaters of maybe the quickest clearing stream on the coast (Necanicum) and have been able to put in some fishing days since the deluge began. I saw a blue cloud at dawn so I figger some green in the river and a feeshin' I will go.
