This sexy new reel is a modeled after some old school reels. This new "Classic" reel is fully machined Alunimum with a smooth modern drag system. The Loop Rep. showed one to me at Fish First about a week ago and I just had to share them with you guys. They look awesome.

Here are some pictures -

These are really cool spey reels. I'm not sure if they come in single-handed sizes. They are a little pricey but they would give your spey outfit a classic look.

those are a damn fine looking reel. I saw a pic. of one a while back on the web. Very classic. They look to be heavy??!! Are they? What it the price range of the series? Any idea when they will be available?

They are not super light like some of the more modern reels but they are not very heavy. They look heavier than they are. They are machined from aluminum. The weight should be just fine for a spey outfit. The reel that fits an 8wt rod might be a tad heavy, but I have not held that reel, so I can't tell you about any personal experience with the 8wt reel. I held one of the spey sizes, can't remember what size, but it felt fine.

I'm not sure about the price, but they are priced in the upper bracket of reels around high $500 I beleive.

They sure are pretty!

I couls be wrong but i thought i heard somwhere that the two largest reels were above $800. If they are in the $500 range, i might just have to get one! They look awesome. There have beena few reviews of them on the speypages.
