Maybe I spoke to soon, today we had about a 1/2 inch of ice over most of the lake. The daytime high temperature was hovering about 32 degrees following a cold night in the teens. We need a little warmer daytime temperature and some winds to break up the the light covering of ice. I will try to keep everyone posted. Don

Hi Don

Sounds like a great time for float tubing?

I have never fished Davis during this time of year, but since all the local rivers are blown, I am thinking about trying some stillwater. Can you give me a clue on how to fish Davis in the winter. I have only fished it during the Damsel hatches in June.

Thanks

Andre

Hey Andre,..... Just down a couple of items under this topic is another entry for Lake Davis. It includes Don Rotsma's website which, also, includes info about strategies, reports, entomology, equipment, etc., all about Davis.... 8) 8)

Try it, you'll like it. :D Another source of info about Davis and many other winter waters is:

www.renoflyshop.com

check 'em out. Hit it right and winter fly fishing is really great.... :D :D
