Hello

Headed to Panama City Florida (Panhandle Area) for some vacation and a little FlyFishing - - - - this coming week (Dec 5th)

It is off season and I don't expect much - - - However, I have arranged two half days with a guide who also caters to fly fisherman. He claims that there is decent estuary and warm water discharge areas from the Power Plants, which they target in the winter - - - fish like Sea Trout & Redfish can still be caught on the fly this time of year.

Not sure if anyone has experience in this area but would love to know patterns, lines, or tips any of the board members may have.

Fishing this area will be new to me, living in CA

Aloha try the Destin area, the back bay there has specks and reds. It has been a while, but as for patterns shrimp and minnows are everyone's favorite. Mems.

We have a little second home in Sebastian, FL on the east coast and in the Indian River Lagoon (inter-coastal waterway) we use floating lines and clear slow sinking lines with light colored small #2 Clouser Minnows.

See if you can find a fly shop near the area?
