Sorry guys, I promise this isn't going to turn into Striper 2,3,4 etc. but as I didn't get a photo of my first I thought I'd post my second. Very breezy on the Delta today: made controlling the drift challenging. After half an hour I was beginning to question whether I wasn't better off leaving it for another day when tap, tap, bang I was into this feller: 30" long and thick in the shoulder he pulled like a rotweiler on steroids. (Ah, so that's what a fighting butt is for! If they get any bigger I'll need a fighting chair  )
Gave it another half an hour before packing up.
Fly: chartreuse/white clouser 1/0 0n a fast 9 wt sinker.
Fish returned unharmed but methinks I need a boga grip!

All right Mike! NICE fish! Sounds like you had a lot of fun with him. "Fighting chair," very funny, ha. I don't speak for anyone else but, personally, I'm looking forward to pictures of fish nos. 3, 4, and so on. . . .

Just you wait - pretty soon , you'll hook MOBY

I prefer the little ones , myself ..... I cry less when they fall off .

Some control their boats with a Minn Kota auto pilot bow mounted electric motor.

Some drag a chane.

Some drag a sea anchor.

Nice when it is not windy though.

Great fish and wonderful photo, thanks.
