Zonker Trout

I just got back from a sweet flyfishing adventure. Took my float tube out and threw white zonker's all day. I could watch the white zonker in the water as I would strip and see these trout just hammer the fly. Awesome! Cant tell you where I was :wink: but just wanted to share.

I had a day just like that. It was quite windy, but i found a good number of big lahontans cruising just under the waves. i landed a 21 incher, but lost a few closer to 24. Also lost a brown in the hog category, cruising in 6 inches of water right off of the bank. Snow in the high country on the way to the lake, and a nice sunset.

Photo was Caples, Rainbows were from Indian, and lahontan was fron Heenan.

caples was right, but that lahontan was not from Heenan. also those rainbows dont look like indian creek reservoir rainbows. here is a indian creek rainbow, 21 inches and on a dry.
