For many October is a favorite month in Nor Cal.

It isn't hot and it isn't cold (yet) and there is lots of fairly consistant fishing.

Steelheading is in full swing in many 'long' rivers.

Trout in the larger stream and lakes are feeding up for winter.

Black Bass and panfish are on the prowl again with the cooler water.

Stripers are moving into the Delta and the weather can be unreal.

October is the top month for wading in the Lower American River for Salmon because they come in later here than most other Valley rivers.

Hope you can get out there........
