Anyone up for a get together to tie some flies, trade patterns, check out new techniques and see what we all use for tools and materials?? I could try to find a cool place in doors so we could all get together one day on a weekend or something or maybe Bill would be gracious enough to host a few people tying at the shop.... Just an idea to throw out and then we could all hit the water in the evening.....

I may be able to get into this. It could give me some time to tie my flies for the Sept swap too, and get tips and tricks from others while I so so too! :) Just let me know some of the dates, and I'll let you know if I can do it.

I like the idea... :D

Fall is around the corner, evenings are closer, and fly tying is the thing I need for lack of daylight.

Count me in...

Sounds like a plan -

I can host , we could BBQ if everyone's keen on it also .

Dunno where I'll put the cats , though .....

You guys can always do stuff at the shop when we are open or even on an evening after we are closed.

We just need one of the staff to be there after hours.

I thought this would be great in the winter on Saturdays at the shop or on a weeknight evening?

You could have them at peoples houses too.

Hi guys,

Sorry kind of forgot about this one. Not sure about dates. I'm duck hunting october 15th-16th. Would like to do it on a weekend at the shop I guess since Bill gave it the OK. Any Saturday in the Winter sounds good to me. How about somewhere around OCT. 22 or 29th?

How does that sound?? Maybe we could pot luck a lunch too.... or go out around that area...

My only other coment is that we should all be fishing on the weekends in October and even November.

We can go wild with the fly tying in Dec, Jan, Feb when it is cold as hell and dark and raining.

I hear ya Bill. October and November can be such magical months for fly fishing that it's hard to set aside a good fishing day for fly tying. A stormy day is definitely a possibility though. . . . :)

Since this doesn't seem to be going anywhere soon, it's probably best to wait 'til a "rainy day".... 8) 8)
