Mid-September is the time to hit the Pit River and maybe the MF of the Feather River down in the canyon.

On the Pit that hatch can go all day long.

Now dammit Kiene I don't mind you being positive on fishing, but never tell people to fish the Pit from dawn to dusk, for I've done that, and it damn near killed me!!! Plus, I caught 97% of fish after 1:00 P.M., and we always quit before dusk before the bite was over becuase we were dead freakin' tired. Wasted the energy from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., cutting out the last two hours of fishing. Always a mistake to hit that water too early, unless you are made of some friggin' Terminator body.
