.......in many Valley rivers plus the Lower Roque River and Lower Klamath River.

September is a top month for Halfpounders in most long rivers that are open to the ocean.

Early and late is usualy best in September.

This is some of our favorite fishing because we can go down any night after work and hit the river. Sometimes we go out before work too. We usually put our gear in the car and then are ready for any time we feel like going.

People use #4 to #7 rods for Halfpounders and most swinging #8-12 wet flies in the surface early and late in the day with a floating line.
