I'm picking up a new 16' Canadian Crestliner next week! I have a "significant" birthday coming up later this year and my darling, beautiful, adorable wife is buying it as my present. (When I said " are you sure?" She said "You're a long time dead! Can't argue with that :( ) Anyway, I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve!

That is a wonderful boat.

Tell us about the motor, options?

October starts the Fall Delta striper fishing.

Delta black bass topwater is good all summer in the PM.

You can fish New Hogan for top weater stripers in August.

You can fish inside Tomales Bay for halibut and jacksmelt now.

Boat comes with Mercury 40 EFI and trailer. Did a lot of internet research and Crestliner Canadian gets good reports for build quality. Also looked at Tracker Super Guide but some reports were iffy and I was concerned about resale value. Crestliner dealer is only up the road in Antioch and offered a good deal. I've also just ordered a Minn Kota Auto Pilot and Garmin Fishfinder so I'm well on the road to great fishing and bankruptcy!
