Lake Almanor Hex hatch is on big time.

You can head up to Lake Almanor and look at McCoy Flat Reservoir and Long Lake which are just up highway 44 to northeast. These are smaller shallow lakes that can actually dry up during a draught but have fish and water now. You can fish them all day and then take a break, eat something and hit the south end of Almanor for the Hex hatch from 6pm till after dark.
