American 6/30

Fished the "A" today afterwork from 11:00 till 4:00, primetime I know! Fished the Goethe Park area pretty hard, hitting all the old spots I haven't been able to get to for months. Runs are still in the same areas but have changed courses somewhat. Something different, I like it! :lol: What a day to forget the camera, 5 Squawfish and 1 beauty Sucker. :cry: Did manage a take from a 1/2 pounder but promptly sent him to freedom. All fish or I mean bottom dwellers were taken on the Poopah and Poopah emergers.

I'm thinking the Yuba tomorrow, maybe some surface activity to try the new 4wt out on! :wink:

Thanks for the report Mike. Did you get a good look at that half pounder? Any size to him?

It looked like a good 16 - 18" fish. Never really stuck em, ate me high in the shallow water and wasn't expecting it. Looked pretty bright though.
