Get up to Davis for PIKE

I hear the fishing's been good at the north end of Davis for the pike. A guy on the sniffer board reported they were holding over the weed beds, they are very active, and there's lots of 'em.

Better break out the 8-weights, shooting heads, and the big streamers like FT Clousers, Whistlers, Sar-Mul Macs, bunnnies and Deceivers. Get them now, cuz they will likely nuke the whole place next year.

Also, you have to immediately behead the fish when you catch. No transport-- dead or alive!

Ya know guys, this is an opportunity to do something for the fishery in Lake Davis. The more Pike caught/killed, the better for the fishery.... 8) 8) .... And, it could be a lot of fun. An added plus is that Pike're good eating (according to our mid-west and northeastern counterparts.... 8) .)

Darian...Pike are a great fish to hook into. Caught 'em as a young one in Escanaba, Michigan using Daredevil lures. Since you have to kill them if you land one at Davis, might as well think about fish tacos for dinner. Pike are VERY boney but the white fish meat can be turned into something eatable...Just a thought. Or, use them for garden compost...Good luck to anyone who hooks one! They can be monsters!
