This is a great lake to fish for bass and bluegills. It is a very attractive setting in a foothill community. It is a great place to bring the family for a picnic and fishout. Great picnic area right on the lake. It is $4 per person. It is open till ~9pm so you can fish the evening top water bite from about 6pm till dark.

This is Amy and myself in my Livingtson 12' fiberglass pram.

You can use electric motors but no gas power. Perfect place for float tubes, pontoon boats, kayaks, canoes and car top boats.

I don't think you could launch a boat off a trailer anywhere.

We caught some small/medium bass and some very large bluegills on top.

I think we will have to plan a fish-out and picnic there soon.

Good yo hear that you guys caught some fish, especially large bluegills. Those large blugills can fight much harder than the bass.

Cameron Park Lake is a cool little warm water fishery for the Sacramento area fishermen.

All right, sounds like you guys had a good time! That's really cool you found some big bluegills. I'd gladly trade very large bluegills for medium-size bass any day. 8)

Cameron Park was a great fishery. The fish were very hard fighting. It was fun to watch Amy Kiene out fishing getting lessons from her Dad. I was out in Bill's Canoe moving around with an electric. It is nice to be on lake where you do not hae to worry about larger boat traffic as there is no ramp or gas motors allowed. Below is another great photo of Bill and Amy last night.
