Pentax Optio WP on the way!

Well after a lot of research I finally decided to bite the bullet and get the
Pentax Optio WP. I ordered the extra battery, and 1 mg card, which added some cost. However, for a point and shoot camera, that is not just waterproof, but can actually take underwater pictures, I think this is the one.

I will be floating and fishing the Deschutes, the end of May, so I should get plenty of opportunity to try it out. I love those underwater shots too, which I'm going to try with this camera.

Total cost, including the upgrades, was just over $400. Gulp!

Lee $400 is not very expensive especially when that total includes another battery and a large capacity memory card like that.

I hope you enjoy that camera it sounds perfect for a fisherman like yourself.

Hey Adam,

Yes, I think it is a good price, too. Hopefully, it will be durable and produce quality pictures. I wish I would have had that camera on the American last week. Grrrr. I usually carry a "throw away" camera, plus my regular camera. Oh well.

After watching Bill take underwater pictures with his camera, in Cancun, I was anxious to try those shots as well. Should be a lot of fun, and I will report back on my results. Maybe some Guy Harvey shots. Grin!
