Nice pictures Rob. It seems that the yuba is fishing quite tough right know, probably has something to do with the inconsistent flows. Four of us fished it one monday with only three fish landed and two on an olive zonker. If it was not for your tip on fishing an olive zonker up there a few years ago i would have had many fishless days on the yuba.

Jason

The green Zonker is My favorite streamer.
I have had good luck with it on the Truckee, The Carson and the Noth fork of the American for Small mouth, and a few nice Browns.
I would like to try it on the lower Sacramento.
The rabbit strip tail gives the fly a lot of action.

Take care

Rob, i have never fished it on the lower sac but i have had good success when the water is lower with a #6-8 black articulated egg sucking leech. Not too many people fish with streamer patterns or fish on the swing on that river so the fish are very receptive to it. If you ever give it a try let us know. I would guess that it might work. By the way, it looks like your pictures on theyuba all come downstream of the bridge. There is a lot of good zonker water down that way!
