This was my new 1978 VW bus with two 8' TP&L fiberglass prams on top. :D

WOW :!: :!:  I thought I was the only one who had one of those van's..... 8) I carried only one TPL pram on mine. Your set up must've really put a hole in your gas mileage  .

I slowed down using mine when I got tired of hoisting it back up on top of the van after rowing it around all day.....

If I'm not mistaken, TPL was the only pram maker in the early '70's. I had the tri-hull model that weighed about 75 lbs. I actually built a pram trailer that could haul 4 prams. It had compartments for the oars, trolling motor, batteries, life jackets, etc.....
Last year at the Seattle show, I was looking at the new Spring Creek kevlar prams. They are definitly lighter than the old fiberglass prams.

Still looking for a larger boat. Last week, I looked at a Crestliner at one of the local dealers but didn't like the set up. No big rush other than I might be too old by the time I find one
