My last day at the shop, Friday

Friday the 8th, tomorrow is my last day working at Kiene's Fly Shop. I have enjoyed the near 6 years of working with you all. I have enjoyed getting to know many of our friendly customers.

I look forward to staying in touch with you guys through this board.

I enjoyed my going away party. Thank you to Bill and Marilyn for throwing the party during business hours. Another set of thanks goes out to David and Mike for coming by the shop to say goodbye.

I had fun saying goodbye to everyone at this party. I was lucky enough to receive a present from Bill and Marilyn. This present totally shocked me, I love it. The Kiene's gave me a new Galvan Torque 10 platinum reel for one of my spey outfits. Very generous!

Sorry I couldn't make it to the party. By the time I read the post and it mentioned Friday and my brain had to put two and two together, it was to late. But with the gas taking a 10 cent jump this morning, I figured it's better to send my good-byes via the web......

I can't thank Bill Kiene (with Eugene's help) enough for giving all of us a place to share thoughts and make some great new friends . I've never been all that social in regards to my fishing .... but now I have made some great friends on this board due to those who have chosen to be involved with it .

I honestly believe this place is the model for a civil , open public bulletin board .

Adam and I , over the past few years , have only known each other to trade reports and small talk ... Now , from the past few months relating with him almost every day , I have a friend that I will have a relationship with for a long time . I hope this dosen't sound too corney , but I think that THIS is the place to be !! Thanks to ALL who have taken part in this - I am a better man (and a better flyfisher) because of you guys .
Adam - I know you will suceed at anything you want to , hope to see you soon . David PS - fantastic to meet Guy and Ray today , as well as Jason and Eugene - all good fellas !!
