At what water temperature do stripers start to get active and aggressively feed? I'm thinking it's in the 55~56 degree range, but can't site my source.

LITF - I'm no expert , but I've never seen a A.R. Stripe eat a fly w/ the water temp UNDER 55 . I do best when the water is over 60 here .
The bait guys were doing well untill early last week , I haven't heard any "new" reports from the lower river this week . The Sacramento has backed up the lower American up to at least the "Log hole" . The water has been very clear and cold down there , when it drops , things should get going pretty quick . David

I get them on top-water pretty much any time of the year, especially from Mid-feb thru June.

Seemed like the guys were complaining this winter after the water got below 50 degrees in the Delta.
Dec/Jan/Feb is cold.
March through November has water above 50 degrees usually.
