I was planning on heading out to fish the coast at the Gualala and Garcia for the weekend of the 19th.
I still might, but looking at this storm rolling through I have a feeling they might be blown out or too off color.
What would you guys recommend heading with this weather?
Smith? Eel? Mad? Trinity?
I'm down here in Santa Barbara so my visibilities of the rivers up there is limited to the internet.
Any suggestions would be mucho appreciated.

Paul,

I just checked the USGS real time stream flow for the Gualala and it has not received any rain this week. So it will be low and very clear, ditto the Garcia. The Russian also did not receive any rain.

Those few rivers must be in some kind of rain shadow, because almost every thing else around received rain including Marin County Streams well to the South of the Gualala and all the streams north of Fort Bragg, e.g. the Mattole, Mad, etc.

Go figure.

Good luck.

Hey Brian,
Yeah, I noticed that from the flows. Maybe we'll luck out and the rain shadow will stay through friday. I have a feeling i'll see a jump in the next day or two, but we may luck out.
Thanks for the info.
