I've posted a few times in past few months asking about ff for steelhead on the American as I am new to both and you-all have come thru in grand fashion :D . As I paroused(sp) thru this board earlier this month, I noticed a post from Steve Sullivan indicating he had surplus feathers. I responded via email and he gave me his address to which I sent my SASE. Just yesterday, I received those feathers and very happy with what he sent (3 zip loc bags of it!) :D . Now my next project is to sign up with a casting club down here that teaches tying. Starting to get a little concerned about the divorce rate of fisherman especially FF.

I am glad you could find use out of my excess!! Thanks for that gadget you sent me, have you ever thought of trying to sell it as a vest tool? It is a way cool tool.

Here are some flys that are extremely popular in northern cal and use pheasant tail or mallards flank
Pheasant tail flashback (I caught 3 steelhead on the feather a couple of days ago, ALL took the ptfb in the mouth. Even a nice fresh 20 pound salmon took it. I was also using a alevin with egg and pt droppers.)
