Hey Bill, you shoulda come with us, we raised 12 sails, hooked 7 and landed 2 in 4 days of fishing. The other 5 were bill wrapped and ran into the backing kicking and screaming all the way. The weather was a little testy for 2 days with large swells and some whitecaps or we may have done better. Really put the new leader to the test, landed both 80lb sails in under 18 minutes. Pulled as hard as I could to try to break the leader at the 20# section but it held. Need to come by on Saturday to test the new 4 turn nail knot instead of the triple surgeons on your knot machine. Went out 25 miles and also got into some yellow fin tuna on the last day. They hung around for 4 or 5 hours and we were able to hook 10 and land 4 which we brought back to Daniels Restaurant for dinner. Also tried to break a leader with the tuna, pumped them up and cranked them in and held them right next to the boat for 5 minutes with maximum drag on the reel only letting them take a few turns of line with extreme effort. Landed the tuna in about 8 to 10 minutes. Met Jim, Jerry, Guy and the other 3 guys for dinner. We suplied the fish and they paid for the dinner. They made a plate of fresh tuna sashimi, and cooked about 50 tuna steaks with butter, garlic and Mexican barbeque. There was even enough leftovers for the guys to make sandwiches for lunch the next day. Need to talk to Kieth about getting a trip together for second week in January.

You lucky son of gun!!!!!!! I guess that is another reason they call you "Lucky Leo"?

I know, you asked me to go.

After reading your report and Carl's we had better get some spots booked soon for next year.

How big were those tuna?

Sounds like a wonderful trip.

PS: Bring me some pictures and I will get them up on the web site.

Whack that little sucker on the head and fish out the Wasabi - God didn't make Tuna for flyrodders , God made Tuna to accompany Beer and Soy sauce on the boat (forgive , ohhhh , forgive ...) D.J.L. PS - Is that Leo G. ?? His Bass bugs/poppers are LEGEND - I'd KILL for a clinic at the shop with him (Hey Bill , hint , hint ....) :)
