Many years ago Leo Gutterres and I heard of a remote area on the middle north coast of the Yucatan peninsula for Baby Tarpon. One of our favortie guides in Cancun, Beto, told us he once lived there (~20 years ago) and was guiding people for Tarpon but not many ever came so he moved to Cancun.
We finally got information about a fishing lodge in a small remote fishing village about a 3 hours drive northwest of Cancun. Leo and I took a chance and went there last October for a week.
It is the finest Baby Tarpon fishing we have found in over 20 years of fishing the MX Yucatan and Belize. :D
